From time to time the First Peoples’ Assembly of Victoria (the Assembly) runs promotional giveaways and competitions.

‘Update ya deets’ – December 2025
Conditions of Entry

On Thursday 18 December we launched an ‘Update ya deets’ giveaway that will run until Sunday 18 January 2026.

A “lottery” will be drawn in which 5 people will be selected at random and each offered a $200 Woolworths voucher. Entry into this lottery is by updating enrolment details during the competition period. Entry is deemed to be acceptance of the conditions of entry, details below. This trade promotion lottery is run by the First Peoples’ Assembly of Victoria Ltd (ABN 51 636 189 412) (Assembly, we, us or our) of 48 Cambridge Street, Collingwood, Victoria 3066.

  1. General conditions
    • Entry is free and open to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander persons who are currently enrolled with the Assembly.
    • Entry into this lottery is deemed acceptance of conditions of entry.
    • One entry is permitted per person.
    • Employees of the Assembly are ineligible to participate.
    • Entry is by updating enrolment details including phone number and email address, via this form: https://firstpeoplesvic.org/update-ya-deets/
    • Entry to the lottery will open at 10am on 18 December and will close at 11:59 pm on 18 January 2026.
  2. Lottery draw
    • The draw for the winners will take place at 4 pm on 20 January 2026. Entrants need not be present to win.
    • The prizes are $200 Woolworths vouchers. There are five (5) prizes total, one (1) winner per prize. Total prize pool valued at $1,000. Prizes will not be drawn in any particular order.
    • Each entrant will be assigned a number, which will be drawn at random through government certified electronic draw system randomdraws.com.au provided by the business Trade Promotion and Lotteries Pty Ltd (ACN 601 297 330) (TPAL Electronic Draw System).
  3. Winning entry
    • The winners will need to show proof of identification before the prize is released.
    • The winners will be notified in writing by email (and additionally by phone where possible) by 23 January 2026 and each of the winners’ names or initials will be published on the Assembly’s website for 28 days.
    • The prize cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash unless deemed faulty.
  4. Collection of prize
    • The prize will be delivered to the winners within 28 days after the winners are declared. The Assembly will make all reasonable efforts to locate the winners and deliver the prize.
    • If the Assembly is unable to locate a winner and deliver the prize after reasonable efforts have been made to identify the winner, the winner may be substituted via a second draw.
  5. Privacy consent statement
    • We will collect, use, store and disclose your personal information provided to us in your survey for the purpose of conducting this lottery (including entering your name into the TPAL Electronic Draw System).
    • We will collect, use, store and disclose your personal information (including your sensitive information) provided in this competition for the purposes of updating your enrolment information and administering the Assembly’s election processes. This includes the administration of current and future elections, contacting you about the Assembly’s activities eg sending newsletters, or otherwise in accordance with our Privacy Policy found at firstpeoplesvic.org/privacy-statementor as required by law.
    • You may request access to any personal information that we have collected about you, including correction of your personal information if you can establish that it is not accurate, complete or up to date, using the contact details in our Privacy Policy found at firstpeoplesvic.org/privacystatement or as required by law. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose your personal information and how you can access and seek correction of it or make a complaint.
    • Your personal information used in connection with the TPAL Electronic Draw System may also be held and used by business Trade Promotion and Lotteries Pty Ltd (ACN 601 297 330) in accordance with their privacy policy.
    • By entering this lottery, you accept these terms and conditions and consent to the collection, use, storage and disclosure of your personal information as specified in the terms and conditions.
