Yurpa Philosophy and Principles are about relationship to one another. They guide our relationship to government, to land, to Community and to the Cultural flow.
The Yurpa Philosophy and Principles embrace Indigenous Data Sovereignty principles that First Peoples have ownership, control and power over Indigenous Data. This includes cultural knowledge, Lore and practices.
These principles are grounded in and assert the Cultural Authority of the Members as Traditional Owners of Country.
The principles are interdependent and designed to be read as a whole.
