Stay strong. Stay Safe.

Jan 24, 2025

We know that 26 January is a hard day for our community.

For decades Aboriginal people in Victoria have marked this day as a Day of Mourning.

The Assembly has not organised any events this weekend, but our team will be holding info stalls at various events and concerts across the state.

The Jan 26 march in Naarm has grown to be one of the biggest events across the country. It should be a source of pride that they’ve always been inclusive and peaceful – acknowledging the invasion of this country and the resilience of Aboriginal communities.

Whether you’re having a quiet one or heading out to one of the many events, make sure you stay safe and keep an eye out for one another.

That’s what we do. Strong, Fearless, Together.

We are mob. We’ve been here for more than 60,000 years and we’re not going anywhere.

Always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.
