Treaty is here. Let’s yarn!
We’re inviting young First Peoples aged 18–28 to join this relaxed and interactive online session to learn about the First Peoples’ Assembly, ask questions and build your knowledge of our first ever Victorian Statewide Treaty.
These are low-pressure and relaxed spaces for young First Peoples to yarn and learn. Each session will feature group discussions, explainers, polls and Q&A.
Topics we’ll cover include:
- Who the First Peoples’ Assembly is and what they do
- What the Youth Voice is and how young people are shaping our future
- What our first Treaty means, why it matters and how it works
- Seeing how young people want to be involved in Gellung Warl and Treaty
Sessions will be facilitated by our Youth Voice Conveners, Alice Pepper and Jordy Edwards, and moderated by Tarneen Onus.
Registrations are free but essential.
Please note: This event is for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander young people aged 18–28. Please see our session for young First Peoples aged 12–17 here.
